Nick: Hi this Nick

Kianu: Hello this is Kianu, and we would like to give u a brief introduction to our special guest today William Harvey before we show you our special edition exclusive clip!

Nick: Let’s get started shall we?

Nick: William Harvey was born in England in 1578. After earning several degrees in science he settled down and began researching medicine.

Kianu: Harvey was fascinated by the way blood flowed through the human body. Most people of the day believed that food was converted into blood by the liver, then was consumed as fuel by the body.

Nick Yun: What a crazy idea! Harvey knew this was untrue through his firsthand observations of dissections. Of course, most people thought this was wrong, but he was dedicated.

Kianu: In 1628 Harvey published his famous book, (An Anatomical Study of the Motion of the Heart and of the Blood in Animals) which explained how blood was pumped from the heart throughout the body, then returned to the heart and recirculated.

Nick Yun: At first, his strange ideas caused bad ideas and everyone thought it was physcotic. But because Harvey's unconventional anatomical theories backed up with evidence, he was recognized as a medical leader in his day.

Kianu: He was even doctor to King Charles I of England. At the time of his death in 1657, Harvey's medical and scientific genius were celebrated throughout the European medical community.

Nick Yun:
However, our agent was able to find a ripple in time of a conversation with what appears to be Harvey!

Nick and Kianu: Now Let’s give a round of applause for William Harvey!

(applause)

Churchman: William Harvey, I cannot believe that you are going against our religion.

Harvey: I have don’t nothing wrong. What’s so wrong about expressing the truth?

Churchman: Do not go against the Writs of the church.

Harvey: This has nothing to do with the religion of the community.

Churchman: It does! Our bodies are gifts from god. How dare you go against what God has created.

Harvey: I do believe that God had created our species, but he is not the reason why we function.

Churchman. What that’s crazy!

Harvey: I still believe that God gave us our functions. I am merely discovering how he created us in the first place.

Churchman: Why do you wan’t to find it out anwyays.

Harvey: It is necessary to find the reason for our bodies. Doesn’t it make you curious how you’re living?

Churchman: There is no reason! God created us this way and that is what we must all believe. I’m urging you Harvey, please do not go through with this.

Harvey: The people need to know how their bodies function and why.

Churchman: What is to believe in but God himself!

Harvey: I believe that God believed in me to discover this. Blood circulates through the process of pumping blood.

Churchman: Believe what you will, but please do not spread this throughout the community!

Harvey: I want to share this discovery with the rest of the people.

Churchman: What is the point of this insanity!

Harvey: I am trying to convey that blood does indeed move in a circular motion all throughout the body.

Churchman: What?

Harvey: Believe me! Not only does blood circulate, but blood is produced as well! I can’t believe it. All this time, we believed that blood was recycled in our body. It does indeed circulate but the heart has other processes as well. The heart actually expels some of the blood and blood is actually produced from organs such as the liver.

Churchman: That is enough. I will listen to no more.

Harvey: Trust me, you will see me treating the kings of England, preaching the souls of many that live in our cloister.

Churchman: The kings of England? Are you out of your mind?

Harvey: No, I assure you! This discovery will soon be the base of all human anatomy.

Churchman: I’m telling you, human anatomy is not important in our community. Tis only a distraction from the truth of God.

Harvey: I have a new perspective of the world churchman, and I am following it no matter what. With great power, comes great responsibility.
